Hi.  My name is Lee Mynyk and I first got interested  in photography in my senior year of high school, which was way back in 1969.  I bought a Polaroid land camera and started my picture taking journey.

     In 1971 I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After boot camp and a couple of tech schools, I was stationed in Clark Air Base in the Philippines. It was there that I purchased my first 35mm slr. While it seemed everyone else had a Canon or a Nikon, I bought a Pentax Spotmatic which I really liked.  I put that camera to a lot of use in the Philippines, but to this day I can't find any pictures from there.

     After the Philippines, I was stationed at Misawa Air Base Japan. How excited was I to be in Japan, the country that made Pentax cameras.  I found a photo store off base and bought a Pentax 6X7 and I was really in love with photography. I put both cameras to good use in Japan, but as before, I don't have any pictures from Japan either.  What's up with that?. I guess it was because I moved around a lot and they all just got lost.

     Anyway, now I have a Pentax k20d dslr and a Pentax k3 dslr and I am putting these two cameras to good use. Although after all these years, I am still an amateur photographer, which I like, no pressure.

     Update! I no longer have a Pentax k20d or Pentax k3 dslr I have a Pentax K 1 mark ii a full frame dslr and wow it is the best camera I believe I could own.
